Chpt 2 of The Tao Te Ching

The stressing of opposites is a major factor behind the bases of Tao. In this chapter I can draw that everything that happens in my life. The road already taken and the road left non-taken. You sometimes know which opposite you chose. Sometimes the better half of the two, but there is always a contrast to the objective you just achieved. To succeed somewhere, one could of looked back and seen a crack of failure. The good and evil in things are not just individuals of persona, but they are entities that can establish our relationships in life.

5 quotes from the Little Prince

I did not understand why it was so important that sheep should eat little bushes. But the little prince added: "Then it follows that they also eat baobabs?" - I feel that the sheep is a sign of the prince's devotion to the rose. The sheep are scapegoats for the prince's ability to fend off the baobabs bushes and to protect the one thing he loves.

He did not know how the world is simplified for kings. To them, all men are subjects. - This is a sign of the role men play in a world that the prince lives in. I feel that as a prince he feels that he is a man of higher value and status. For things he does, he takes no regard of the effects. By visiting the king, he observes the lifestyles of ones nature of royalty.

"We do not record flowers," said the geographer. "Why is that? The flower is the most beautiful thing on my planet!" - The flower is everything to the prince. He holds it with high demand and loyalty. The flower is his main obsession.

And he was overcome with sadness. His flower had told him that she was the only one of her kind in all the universe. And here were five thousand of them, all alike, in one single garden! - In hope of being reunited with the only one he loves, he is baffled by the fact that he has stumbled upon more than dozens of her kind. He felt betrayed and deceived, for he was convinced that this image of his love was one of unique and symbolic quality.

"But the eyes are blind. One must look with the heart..." - I interpreted this quote that our own eyes can deceive us by projecting images that we see. Do not look, but feel. Feel with your heart and your gut. This way we can go with what we have experience not what we satisfies our eyes.

A Short Frickin Awesome Narrative in Three Different Ways

There was a boy in the woods. The boy had just come of age to venture out on his own and turn a new leaf for himself. As a sign of his maturity, the village required the coat of a bear. With only a hunting knife and a bow and arrow, the boy wanders in to the black forest. The boy is able to kill a deer to hang for the bear to retrieve. The next day, as the boy is hiding high above, a bear approaches the fresh exposed meat and devours it. The boy strikes without hesitance. The boy follows through with every motion. A girl nearby is skipping through the village. She looks out ahead and sees a man coming towards her. He walks directly to the main post of the village as everyone comes out. The man is wearing the rigged fur of a bear and declares his manhood. The village cheers with joy.

I was in the woods. I had just turned 18 and I have to look for a new life to call my own. To prove my maturity, my village has required me to find the cloak of a bear to return to the village as a sign of my manhood. With only my knife and bow at my disposal, I begin my hunt in to the forbidden forest. First I was able to kill a deer to use as bait for the bear. I hid myself high up in the trees and wait patiently. The next day I see a bear approach my bait. As soon as he finishes his meal I make my planned attack. I strike without fear. I strike without hesitance. The village is waiting for me. I walk towards the center of the village. With stern eyes, the my fellow villagers stare at the grueling beast that lays on my back. The great bear that declares the sacred bond. The bear that releases my inner man.
